The eucalyptus spray was inspired by a spa visit. I was not sure if I would actually indulge at home with the eucalyptus spray, but once I figured out how easy it was to make and how long a bottle lasts, it is a simple self-care treatment that I love. Even if my showers are short with three kids calling for Mom, I can spray some of this in the shower, take a couple deep breaths, and it truly feels like I am spoiling myself with the eucalyptus shower spray. I think we all need some self-care, and this is a simple, easy way to get some!
You Will Need
- Distilled water
- Eucalyptus essential oil
- Glass spray bottle
To Make
Mix the distilled water and eucalyptus essential oil in a glass spray bottle. Spray in the shower, breathe deep, relax, and pretend there are no children screaming in the background fighting over a toy. Repeat as necessary. Notes:
- I used a glass spray bottle because I read eucalyptus essential oil can break down plastic. But be careful, the glass does get slippery in the shower.
- I added a sprig of eucalyptus for the photographs; however, it turned the water yellowwithinr a day or so. Avoid adding it, as it was for decoration only.
- This spray works best in a shower with a closed door. In a bathroom with a curtain, spray the mixture more often for the same effect.
